Rules of the counter
The short version: this is a catalogue, not a shop, and the words on it are written in good faith by people who are sometimes wrong.
What this site is
A catalogue of tools we design and make, with notes about using them. It is published for reading. No contract of sale is formed here, because no sale happens here.
What the buttons do
Each button opens the tool on our retail partner in a new tab. Everything from that point sits under their terms: the sale, the payment, the delivery, the returns window, and any promise about availability. We are not a party to it.
About the figures and the stars
Prices and star counts on these pages are recorded when the catalogue is rebuilt, and they drift between rebuilds. Treat them as a signpost. The live figures on the partner’s page are the real ones, and they are what your card is charged.
About the advice
The notes pages describe how we use these tools in our own kitchens. They are not food-safety instruction and they are not a canning authority. For preserving in particular, follow a tested process from a body that publishes them, and treat our notes as commentary alongside it.
Words and pictures
The text, the photographs and the tool designs on this site are ours. Quote a sentence with a link and we are flattered. Lift a page wholesale and we are not.
If something here is wrong
Tell us and we will fix it. That is a better outcome for everyone than a paragraph disclaiming responsibility for our own catalogue.
